 Fort Time!!

Lately Brody has been absolutly obsessed with making forts. I dont even remember where it came from but hes been on this fort kick. He always wants to make our front room into a fort, and we have let him a couple times but its just too big of a pain plus its our front room! So today we thought it would be fun to suprise Brody and let him make his whole room into a fort. Lets just say he thought it was the coolest thing ever!

 

When I say we made his whole room into a fort I meant it, you literally had to crawl into his room.

 

 

 I love how you can just see the pure happiness on his face, that is a true ginuen smile :)

 

He was beyond thrilled about it all night!



 

 

Every night we read books before bed, so we all crawled in and read a bunch of books, It was a lot of fun for all of us.

One of our favorite things to do is go to this pond and feed the ducks. We always seem to have lots of bread to spare so when it gets to be too much we head down to the pond and enjoy the outdoors and some fun ducks.

 

 

Once all the bread is gone Brody always enjoys walking around the pond and just exploring. On a lucky day we are even able to catch a glimps of the turtle until he realizes were watching and disappears into the water.

 

Today was extra fun because we got to bring cousin Jacob along with us.

 

I love and adore everything about this crazy little man!!

 

Brody is the best big cousin ever! He absolutly adores his cousin Jacob. He is always wanting to hug and kiss on him, it is the sweetest thing ever to watch.

 

Its sure fun hanging out with these two :)

pinewood derby

Pinewood Derby

Although my calling, specificaly to do with cub scouts, can be completely new and challenging to me it does have its perks, one of which is being invited to all the fun pack meetings! Brody had never been to a pinewood derby before so I was excited to bring him.

 

We looked and looked for one of Ians old cars but couldnt find one anywhere. Luckily they had extras at the derby, Brody picked out this blue truck.  

 

 

Its nice that my primary president has a son too so Brody always has a buddy at these types of things.

 

We dont have very many scouts so they let all of the younger kids race too. It was fun because they even had them on the projector and anounced their names and everything. Brodys car never won but he still hada good time racing!

 

Im so glad we came to the pinewood derby, the boys had a blast!!

Ian teaches in a small town in Arizona called Beaver Dam but since there really isn't anything there they came to St George for their end of the year party. We were excited to join him at the Lazar tag place here in town!

 

Brody's favorite part was the glow in the dark miniature golf! For some reason  I just love this picture of him, hes so relaxed and kicked back waiting for his turn :)

 

 

He seriously loved it! We went through it a few times and then some of Ian's students (the girls who thought he was cute of course) took him through it as well.

 

He was actually pretty good at it too!

California Trip

California Trip

May 10th - 14th, 2012

Ians Grandfather past away, so we all took a trip to California to go to the funeral. We were busy a lot of the time with traveling and the funeral but we did manage to make time for some fun things.

Saturday we started our trip back home. We made a stop and walked around the Sacramento Temple. It was beautiful!

 We also stopped in the town Ian grew up in. Heres Brody and Ian in front of the house he grew up in.

 Brody had a blast exploring the woods where Daddy used to play when he was young.

Brody was so excited to go to California. He has so much fun meeting family and just having a good time.

One of Ian's coworkers is moving at the end of the year, so they all wanted to go bowling. Brody had never been before so he was very excited! He was a little hesitant at first but had a blast once he got into it!

I thought the little bowling shoes and kids bowling ball were so cute!
