Mornings are the best, and we love using them to relax around here! This morning our computer wouldnt sync with our TV for some reason so Brody wanted to watch youtube vidoes. He discovered video games (like people playing them) on there and really likes them, I blaim uncle Evan for him liking video games! When he first discovered them he would push the keys on the computer and think he was playing them, it was pretty funny.

We love tummy time around here! Its so fun to play with her and watch her enjoying her toys and time with brother :)

 

 

She sure loves the maraca Bro got her.

 

I love that Brody wants to spend time with his sister. He is so good to her, she sure is lucky to have him...even though shes got a funky look on her face haha  

 

Shes getting so good at standing up in this! She likes being in it as long as someone is around her, she definitly doesnt like to feel alone!

This Mothers Day Kinsley and I stayed home from church sick. One of the best parts of today was being able to snuggle all morning with my sweet little girl. She was such an angel and let me sleep till just before 11:30 :) I was bummed that I wasn't able to hear Brody sick with the Primary during sacrament so when he got home I asked him how it went. He told me that he didn't sing, I of course asked why and his reply was "I didn't know the song, I only know Party rock", as in the song Party rock anthem! Seriously who is he!! I wasn't too happy that he didn't go up and sing but I have to admit his reasoning was a little funny. Later he also said it was because up from is really really really not fun!

 

It really is the little things in life that matter the most. Seeing these two happy and having fun together, that's what makes everything worth it.

 

Like I said earlier I stayed home sick, so I'm not looking my best! But I had to take some pictures with my two loves on my first Mothers Day as a Mommy of two.

 

(I just have to add that both Brody and Kinsleys shirts are recent DI finds, ones I was very excited about! I paid $1 for Kinsleys and $2 for Bro's...seriously why do people not Thrift shop!?)

During one of our Goodwill trips Brody found this maraca he thought Kinsley would like. I can just see her saying "I need to get a close look at this"...such a funny girl!

 

 

 

We are officially at that stage, you know the one where you have to keep things 5 feet away from the baby because if you don't she can somehow reach it. I swear babies can reach impossibly lengths with their little tiny arms! Well my salad bowl was a little too close to her so she got a hold of my fork, dragged it over and used it as a chew toy!

 

Just being with my children made it such a wonderful day. Ian gave me a card with a 30 minute massage and Brody made a card for me in primary. He wrote on it that his favorite thing to do was cuddle with me, such a sweet boy. I love my children more then words could ever express. They are the reason I enjoy life, the reason I try to be a better person everyday, they are everything to me. It is true that you never truly understand a mothers love until you are one, well I understand now and it sure is an incredible thing.



St George Trip

May 7th-9th, 2013

 

 

We have been anxiously awaiting this trip for what seems like a very long time. Our court date was initially set to happen March 26th, but since we were not married for a year yet it had to be pushed back...all the way to may! We Headed to St George Tuesday and enjoyed a yummy dinner and fun evening with our good friends. We got to stay with our friends this time, which was a lot of fun!!

 

Wednesday

 

 Wednesday was the day we were waiting for, our court date to have Ian adopt Brody!! We were a little nervous since we didn't quiet know what to expect, but mostly excited. Brody's biological father was served the adoption papers personally and never responded, so we knew the odds were definitely in our favor. Adoptions are done privately so our family, lawyer and his Secretary were the only people in the room. The judge asked Ian some questions and then asked if I agreed. He said we look like a very happy family and that it seemed like a great thing, and Brody was legally made a Harvey :) A very happy moment for our little family! Brody has always been a part of our family, and he has always known himself as a Harvey, but it feels great to make it official. No more different last names at doctors appointments or explaining to people why on official documents or church record he has a different name then the rest of us. It just feels great to move forward with our lives as our little family, the Harvey's :)

We always love going to the splash pad while we are in St George. It had been warm enough to go swimming up until the time we got there. So instead of swimming we hit up the splash pad for the kids. It was soo nice being able to lay Kinsley in the grass, something I miss very much since we have moved to Prescott. She loved it.

Not quiet sure if she knew what to think...

 

But ended up giving a nice smile for the camera :)

 

Loved getting to see this little cutie!! This is the little girl I swear Brody has a crush on haha.

 

We never really had a chance to do girls nights while we lived in St George, so this is one of the best parts of visiting, we always make time for girls night out!! Sometimes a girl just needs some time with her friends, and we of course had a blast! I haven't laughed that much and that hard in a long time. Love these girls!! We enjoyed a yummy Mexican dinner and some frozen yogurt afterwards. I think girls night out just might have to become a St George tradition :)

 

 

 

Thursday

 

We tried making it home in time for Ian to do tutoring after school, but we just didn't get out of town in time so on the way home we stopped and walked across the bridge at Hoover Dam. We wanted to look at the Dam itself but you had to pay, so we just drove across it. I didn't realize how popular that place is, there were tons of people there!

 

Such a beautiful bridge.

 

 

Cant wait for our next trip back to St George :)

This little sweetie loves putting everything and anything she can get her hands on in her mouth.

It's so fun to see them sleeping in the same room! Every night before I go to bed I always have to check on them, no matter how many times Ive already done it that night. Every time I walk into that room my heart melts, Its like I'm the happiest mom ever just looking at these two. In fact I think I am the luckiest mom :)

Brody got a hold of some of my nursing pads and thought they made pretty good headphones :P

 

 

I think we have a pretty good collection going to someday show to his girlfriend (Ian's idea!).

 

 

I don't know the exact name of these but its those really big Q tips they use when you get a pap smear. (He went with me and snuck an unused one home in my purse!)
