Weekend get away

Weekend Get Away

Living where we live you have to get away ever now and then, so Ian and Tyrell (my brother in law) "surprised" us with a weekend trip to Albuquerque. Everyone had a long weekend break from school so we headed there Friday morning and went straight to the zoo. There is just something about doing to the zoo that I have always loved, and even more so now that I have children of my own. It was an awesome day to go, the weather was perfect and there was hardly anyone there (they didn't have school off). It was so fun going with family too, being next door neighbors has sure made these boys great friends.  

 

The zoo had several different babies, they were all SO adorable!!!

 

My favorite was the seals.

 

It was so fun having all these kids together, we love living by cousins.

 

 

All of the frogs and snakes were pretty cool too, Kinsley and Brody both loved them. Especially the bright blue and yellow frogs.

 

I love this crazy little boy.

 

Kinsley was obsessed with the peacocks, actually all of the kids were.

We all thought this sign was funny...like anyone would think of going swimming there...

After the zoo we all had dinner and then found a discount movie theater. Bro had been to one other movie but this was Kinsley's first. I was a little nervous, and rightfully so. She wasn't horrible, but her attention span did not last too long. Luckily for us Aunt Becca had already seen the movie and was nice enough to hang out with her in the back and keep her busy.

 

 

We saw Maleficent, Bro and I loved it! Super fun night!

 

 

Saturday

Saturday was more of a relaxing/hang out day. The kids had been begging to go swimming since the minute they found out the hotel had a pool, so Becca and I took them while the guys went to an ASU football game. They had an absolute blast, and would have stayed longer if it wasn't for needing to eat dinner. After swimming we took them to Burger king and they had lots more fun.

This little cutie was quiet the busy body, she wanted in the pool for about 30 seconds then in the hot tub then back to the pool....back and forth the whole time. Lets just say I was very glad for this little snack break.

 

These two were just about as cute as can be Saturday night. They got lots of broachers from the lobby and were looking through them together.

 

I love that they adore each other!

 

Then for some reason they thought it was HILARIOUS to smack the broachers with both hands. Their smiles and laughs were seriously priceless, I wish more then anything I would have taken a video.

 

Sunday

 

We don't normally eat out on Sunday's, but we were leaving and decided to stop at one of my favorite resturants the Olive Garden. Having gift cards is awesome! I could live off of their soup salad and breadsticks.  

 

 

I adore these two cuties!

 

We had a fantastic weekend away!!! Can't wait for the next one.
