It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Sunday
November 30th, 2014

I LOVE Christmas!! As soon as Thanksgiving is done it's time for Christmas to take over! So we set up our tree, put Christmas music on and started decorating.

I always have the kids hang up their special ornaments for that year first. Kinsley's is a ballerina dog (she is obsessed with puppies!), Brody had a buzz lightyear looking gun but it broke :( so we made do with this ornaments from his first Christmas.

Christmas is so much fun with a little ones!! They are the best tree decorators around.

Bro Bro can be such a sweet big brother, I love seeing him be so kind and sweet with Kins.

And the finishing touch, Brody has been lucky and able to put the star up every year since Kinsley is still little.

One more ornament.

I love these two sillies so much!!

Next we made cookie dough. I always have a cute little helper named Kinsley in the kitchen :)

And then on to making sugar cookies!!

The kids had SO much fun.

We had a wonderful Sunday filled with lots of Christmas fun, can't wait for many many more Christmas filled days.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving
Thursday
November 27th, 2014

Thanksgiving morning we woke up and my little helpers and I made two pies and one yummy raspberry pretzel dessert...talk about yummy!!!

I must have been so busy with getting dinner on the table and everything ready that I completely forgot to take a picture of everyone at Thanksgiving dinner. We had dinner at our house with Tyrell's family the Window Rock elders and the St Micheal's sisters. The sisters were so sweet and come over a little early to help with last minute things. It was such a wonderful holiday, we all had a great time!! Love this time of the year.

Family home evening tonight and it's Daddy's turn to teach. The kids were loving the video and I couldn't help but snap a picture of these precious moments. Some day they will be grown and not want as much to do with us, so for now I will capture as many of these sweet sweet moments as I can.

Kinsley's Babies

Kinsley's Babies
November 2014

Kinsley has two beanie babies bears that she adores, she called them her babies and brings them everywhere with her. Over the month Ian and I have been capturing some of the cute places she puts them, I wish I had my camera with me every second of the day to capture them all!

We bought a sectional off craigslist and are in the works of selling these couches so that's why they are stacked like this, I promise this isn't a normal thing around here haha.

Kinsley felt really warm this night, Brody was such a cutie and took great care of her and her babies.

It is so cute watching her take care of her "babies" :)
23 Weeks
Saturday
November 22nd 2014

  • How far along? 23 weeks and 2 days.

Total weight gain: somewhere around 15 pounds I believe.

Maternity clothes? Pretty boring on this one, still pretty much the same as always. I don’t think I can button any of my pants anymore, at least none I’ve worn recently so I always either do the rubber band thing or have a belly band on. I’ve been wearing a few maternity shirts but most of my regular shirts still fit thank goodness, my wardrobe will be very slim pickings once I get bigger.

Stretch marks? I think I might have one or two new ones starting, honestly it doesn’t really bother me though…I mean this is my third pregnancy after all, I’m bound to have some!

Sleep: I still can never seem to get enough sleep, no matter how late I sleep in on the weekends how early I go to bed or how many naps I take it's never enough. I am so grateful that sleeps hasn’t been too difficult for me yet though, I’m getting more uncomfortable and it's starting to become harder to switch positions but I still sleep pretty great!

Best moment this week? The start of fall break!!!! I don’t think I could possibly put enough exclamation marks after that so I’ll just leave it at 4.

Miss anything? My energy as always and my family. It’s been really hard living so far away from my them but especially hard with this pregnancy. There have been so many times I wish I could just go to my mom’s house and relax over there or have her take the kids for a couple hours while I nap. But, more than the help with my children I just miss their company.

Movement: Yes, and I love it! Ian felt the baby kick really well this week; it’s getting easier to feel from the outside. This baby is by far the least active of all my babies, and I am hoping and praying that means he will be a super chill baby! Heaven knows with Kinsley around I could definitely use a low maintenance baby. It’s almost scary sometimes how little he moves, some days go by and I begin to worry because I haven’t felt him at all. But most of the time there is one period during the day where I feel him move around a little then he’s pretty still the rest of the time. It’s also fun because I can feel him on both sides at the same time while he’s stretching, he’s getting bigger.

Food cravings: My food cravings have been seriously disappointing so far. One of the biggest perks of being pregnant is having cravings and being able to get that food whenever you want simply because you’re pregnant. The closest thing I have to a pregnancy craving right now is sliced apples with caramel dip, and in all honesty it’s not really a craving at all I just like it.

    Food aversions: Nothing really.

Boy or girl: We are having a BOY!! We found out last Tuesday but I never got around to doing last week’s post.

    Labor signs: No

Symptoms: Fatigue as always, I seem to get out of breath a lot for ridiculous reasons like putting the laundry away. My nose is also always stuffed up, I read this is common with pregnancy...a little irritating at night.

Belly Button in or out? In, but it is showing the beginning signs of going out.

Wedding ring on or off? Off.

Looking forward to: Enjoying the rest of this fall break with my family, especially Thanksgiving. This is my second Thanksgiving that I’ve been pregnant for and it’s kind of nice not having to worry about looking fat afterward haha.

Fun facts: Like I said last time Kinsley originally wanted the baby to be a girl but later changed her mind and wanted as she put it another “Bro Bro”. This meant we all wanted a boy, I was a little nervous going to the ultrasound because I didn’t want everyone to be disappointed if it was a girl. We we’re all super excited to find out it was a boy, I couldn’t be happier!!! Im so excited for Brody that he gets to have a little brother! I’m also super excited to get to use some of Brody’s baby clothes again, he had some stinking cute outfits. Oh and we may know that we’re having a boy but don’t even ask us what his name will be, we will be lucky to leave the hospital with one. Name picking seriously stresses me out. I want to find the right mixture of a somewhat unique name but nothing too crazy because boys can really get made fun of and it definitely has to be manly, we’re talking about naming someone something for the rest of their life…talk about pressure.

Awesome Big Brother

Awesome Big Brother
Saturday
November 8th, 2014

Tonight I noticed Kinsley's head feeling pretty warm, she wasn't acting sick but just felt warm. I said something out loud and Brody was immediately worried about her. He doesn't always pay attention to her and she can drive him nuts but really what siblings aren't like this!? One thing about Brody is when he is good to her he is really good to her.
He sat Kinsley down on the couch and got her all snuggled up with her babies and a blanket then grabbed a towel got it wet and put it on her forehead. He was so cute and concerned about her, I couldn't help but capture this sweet sibling love.

I think she was liking all of the attention :)

Eventually Bro's forehead started to feel "warm", haha so he needed a towel too. I love that these two have each other!

21 weeks

21 weeks
Friday
November 7th, 2014

How far along? 21 weeks and 1 day

Total weight gain: 13 pounds.

Maternity clothes? Pretty much the same. Mostly just the belly band and a few maternity T-shirts. I do have to wear all stretchy clothes to church though, no more zippers for me!

 Stretch marks? No new ones.

Sleep: I have absolutely no problem sleeping, in fact I never seem to be able to get enough of it.

Best moment this week? Going shopping in Gallup with my hubby. Believe it or not going grocery shopping is sadly the highlight of my week!!

Miss anything? Still missing my energy, my serious lack of energy.

Movement: Yes! And Ian felt the baby move for the first time at the end of the week also, that is always exciting!!

Food cravings: I still really like orange juice and baby ruth candy bars. I am also really liking Sliced apples with carmel…so yummy!! I honestly haven’t had that many cravings, mostly just things that I like which I think is just normal life. I remember having some pretty intense cravings with my other pregnancies, so this is all new to me.

Food aversions: Nothing really.

Boy or girl: We haven’t found out yet.

Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Fatigue Fatigue and more Fatigue!!! Sometimes I feel the beginnings of heartburn coming on too, so not excited about that one.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding ring on or off? Off, but only because of the irritation it gives my skin.

Looking forward to: I know this is still a month away, but I cannot wait until fall break. I’m going to love having Brody and Ian home for a full week!!

Fun facts: We FINALLY get to find out what we’re having soon!!! It feels like we have waited so long to find out, we got to with Kinsley at 14 weeks so 21 weeks seems like forever to wait. Kinsley used to want a girl but now we all want a boy. I’m ok with either but I just really want Brody to have a brother that’s relatively close in age. Also this pregnancy is so completely different then my other two, it’s so strange. I don’t have very many cravings if any at all, I am so extremely exhausted with no morning sickness, and this baby hardly moves at all compared to the others…I’m hoping that means this baby will be a calm one!

I made sure to take this picture but never actually got around to doing the whole update thing. I blame by extreme fatigue!! Ever spare minute I have I'm usually napping or going to bed early. I also forgot to do this weeks, so I will make sure to get it done for week 21 :)
