More Tball
 Thursday
May 29th, 2014

Bro Bro has 2 Tball games a week, I wont post about every single one of them but I couldn't help it this time. They got their jerseys in and I must say they look freaking cute!! Tball is pretty dang funny to watch, you throw these awesome uniformes in the mix and what more could you ask for.

Bro playing 3rd base.

It was a chilly day for Tball, so Kins and I got to snuggle up.

Look Mom, I found a stick.

Sleepy Girl

Ian was awesome and took the kids to the zoo and park today while I got some cleaning done. The kids had a blast, so much so that Kinsley fell asleep at dinner. This little girl was worn out!

I LOVE Summer!!

 I LOVE Summer!!
Tuesday
May 27th, 2014

There are some perks to being married to a teacher, my favorite being summer! School has been out since Friday and we are loving having Dad home with us. Ian is teaching 2 college courses two afternoons a week, so it isn't a complete break but close enough.
It finally feels like summer here! The weather is so weird here though, one day it will be hot the next day you will need a jacket and it continually goes back and forth. So we are enjoying the warm weather while we have it with some yummy watermelon.

I was kind of shocked both kids liked the watermelon, they are pretty picky when it comes to fruit. Glad we found something they like!

I seriously love summer days in our house, almost everyday feels like a Saturday. Brody brought out some puzzles and him and Kinsley had a great time.

Love this man cub!!

Ian is such a fun Dad, he loves playing with his little girl. She is his little daredevil, so she loves it too.

Ian lifted her and her chair up and let it drop onto the couch, Kinsley could have done this all night!!

Can't wait for a fun filled summer!

Memorial Day

Great Friends, Great Times
Sunday and Monday
May 25th and 26th, 2014

We are so lucky to have found such great friends like the Gowen's, unfortunately for us they are moving :( That's the hard part about living where we live, everyone moves away eventually. But we are so grateful for the fun times we have had with them!!! Brody will miss these 3 so much!

Watching a movie Sunday night.

Monday
Memorial Day we had the Gowens over for games and dinner. The kids, like always, had a blast!

Cute Lily.

They always have so much fun together!

We are going to miss this family so much!

Tball and Bday Party!

Tball and Bday Party!
Tuesday
May 21st, 2014

Bro had his first Tball game tonight! Poor Brody doesn't have a lot going on since he doesn't go to school yet so we were very excited to sign him up. His team is the LA dodgers, literally, they have LA hats! I thought it was pretty funny that the teams picked major league teams to be. They haven't got their shirts in yet so that's why none of them are matching. His coaches are super nice and good with the kids and Brody is loving making new friends. This game went way better then last season!! There was no crying, no having to beg/bribe/threaten him to do anything and he actually had fun. I think he's getting the hang of the whole sports thing.

The kids still have some learning to do, but really what 5 year old doesn't! They don't quiet listen when coach says to get in ready position, and as much as I HATE to admit it...there was some dancing out on the field, but it wasn't the worst I've seen. Brody is the one in the grey shirt, he played here and on third.

Kins wanted to play too!!

Bro is the only little white boy out there (for both teams), at least he has brown hair :p

The first time the kids batted they lined them up and they went in the same order every time. Bro was second to last. After he batted the last person hit and then they ran all the way around the bases, instead of stopping after just one. Brody kept passing the kid in front of him up, here he is zooming past him headed for home. The last inning, as the coach was reminding everyone of the last batter and to run all the way around he yelled to the boy in front of Brody "Ok, try not to let Brody pass you up this time". Haha, I'm glad he's competitive.

It is so good seeing Brody out there having fun!! Glad he is enjoying his Tball season so far.

After the game we headed over to the Gowen's house for Brody's cousin Adara's birthday party. One of the things she requested was a piñata, the kids had a blast with it!! Each one of them got a turn before it finally busted open, I swear with each kid they got more and more vicious with it!!

Bro was like a wild animal! He looked like a little gangster hooping around in his baggy clothes, everyone wished we had a video camera it was so funny.

Bro's cute "girlfriend" Lily.

Poor Kinsley doesn't have anyone her age to play with when we all get together, but she does love being around baby Calvin!

Birthday cake time!

Brody and Lily are in love...as much as a 5 and 7 year old can be! Brody calls her his girlfriend and she tells her Mom her last name is going to be Harvey when she grows up.

We sure love having such good friends here, it makes life on the Rez so much easier. We all love getting together and the kids always have a blast! Thanks goodness for great friends.

Morning potion making

Morning Potion Making
Tuesday
May 20th, 2014

When my children are all grown and out of the house and many years have passed since they were little I know I wont remember all the things I want to. All the special moments, the things that made us laugh and the things they loved doing. That is why I do this blog, to remember. Because lets face it, no matter how cute or sweet something may seem If you don't write it down there's a good chance it will be forgotten or replaced with all the other memories that come along, especially the little moments in life.

One thing I never want to forget is Brody and his potion making! I don't remember the exact thing that started his love for potion making, but I do remember it having to do with leftovers in the kitchen. Anything I have left over he wants to make a potion out of, any bottle that is almost gone or has gone bad will be claimed by the Brodster for potions!! I have to admit I may get frustrated with all the messes that get left behind but I do love the fun memories! For Christmas I went to the dollar store, bought a bunch of food/spices, printed off fun labels and made his own potion making kit. He had lemon juice "ghost tears", hot sauce "squid ink", baking soda "graveyard dust, fragrant gel balls as "spider eggs and lots more...he LOVES it! More often then not it's the unexpected things that really make Brody happy, not the expensive toys but the leftover food. He is our creative boy!

Big Girls Job

Baby Girls Job
Tuesday
May 20th, 2014

Kins loves to help, she is definitely mommies little helper. She also thinks she is a lot older and bigger then she really is so sometimes her helping ends up causing more work then we both bargained for. I try to find her jobs that are a little more manageable for someone her size, sometimes it doesn't work and other times it ends up great!

She has had an obsession with my tomato plants since we first bought them. It is so flipping windy and cold here that we have to baby the heck out of them and plant them indoors for a month or two so their roots get big/strong enough to withstand this weather. Kinsley is in heaven with this. Every day before we take them outside for their 6+ hours of sunlight we water them....this is miss Kinsley's job, and she LOVES every minute of it!

 Monday
May 5th

Backtracking a little bit to earlier in May. One of Kinsley's favorite chores to help with is sweeping, she LOVES it. Whenever she see's me sweeping she always grabs the dust pan and holds it by/in the pile for me. I say in because sometimes it doesn't work out so well haha. At least half of it always ends up on the ground next to the garbage but I love that she wants to help. Some time's she gets lucky and sweeps all by herself.

This pictures is too cute for a couple reasons. One, how cute is she with her dust pan...she legitimately looks like she's working and two, look at her hair!! No matter what I do I cannot tame the back of her hair! I get it wet brush it out and it looks curly and pretty for about 15 minutes, unit she rubs it on something and poof. This might be her beauty trouble in life.

This girl means business, she is one hard worker!

I love that the broom is at least twice her size, but she doesn't let that stop her!
