Easter weekend in St George

Easter Weekend In St George
Friday - Sunday
April 18th - 20th

Ian's brother Gabe is leaving for his mission to Brazil May 7th, so we headed to St George this weekend for his farewell. This is my first missionary (in the family) experience!

I am not a huge fan of Arizona overall, probably because we live in the not so fun part of it, but even I have to admit that it has its own type of beauty. The drive from our house to St George is gorgeous, I have always loved the rocks and how majestic they look.

We love stopping to look at the Grand Canyon.

Saturday morning they had a city Easter egg hunt at the park, we couldn't have picked a better weekend for the kids!

Last year Kinsley was too little to hunt for eggs, so it was super fun seeing her get into it this year.

Brody and his cousins, aren't they the cutest!

Kinsley loved being on this scooter, Ian and I pushed her up and down the street I don't even know how many times.

I love and adore this little girl!!

Kinsley had so much fun being around cousins! Jacob and her are only 10 months apart and enjoyed being together.

Love his cute smile!

We couldn't go to St George in this nice weather and not go to the splash pad. It was so nice while we were there, in the 80's, I loved it!

Brody and his twin cousins always have a blast running around!

It is so fun watching her grow and learn how to play. I love seeing her explore and try new things. Although she can be whinny as heck and a pain in the bum I am really loving this stage. I love that she is turning into a little miniature person, with her personality completely out now...and she is just so dang cute!! I like a lot of stages, but this one is a lot of fun.

My handsome man cub!! He wanted to do some funny pictures. Just being a boy!!

This is why I love this town, there is always something fun going on. And everything is so family oriented, this time was the art festival. This is right next to the splash pad and the whole time we were there a band was playing live music, the atmosphere was just so fun! Oh how I wish we could move back here!! My heart broke when we had to leave, I love everything about this place.

 Could she get any cuter?!

We love the merry go round.

"Look Mom, no hands!"

The next ride he got even crazier and switched halfway through to ride it backwards.

Aren't these fun!

A trip to St George just wouldn't be complete without some Café Rio!!

Our favorite ice cream shop in St George is Iceburgs, Saturday night we went and enjoyed some yumminess with Gabe. Ian had been looking forward to this all weekend!

Easter morning!! We spent it in a hotel but still made it work! The Easter bunny managed to bring the baskets but left the egg hunt for when we got home.

Both kids were super tired from being woken up (we had a fun weekend and late nights!) to get ready for church, so we didn't get much expression from either one. But they liked everything once they got out of their funk!

I tried so hard to get some Easter pictures after church, this was the best I could get. At least one is smiling/looking at the camera in each picture, right.

My Handsome Bro Bro! Sometimes I just cant believe how big he is getting. I tell him all the time to stop growing, that he has to stay my baby for forever! He tells me he would but he doesn't know how haha. He does promise me thought that he will always be my best friend...I'll remind him of this when he's older :)

Kinsley was getting pretty crabby, so I thought maybe if I held her it would help. Instead they just started laughing, little cuties!

Kinsley is such a stinker, the whole time we were there she wouldn't even let Gabe look at her without crying (she is a stinker to a lot of people). Sunday she fell asleep in my arms so I let Gabe hold her while I did something. She woke up quickly after and as you can see was not to happy about where she was! Poor Uncle Gabe!

Gabes friend took this picture, I thought it was pretty funny.

Brody and his cousin Jacie love each other!! Brody is so sweet and kind to her, he always compliments her and tells her that she is beautiful, he is such a sweetheart! Jacie adores him too, she always tell me him and Gabe are her favorite cousins.

We sure will miss Uncle Gabe, 2 years is a long time!! We don't get to see him a lot, but it will be weird not having him at Grandma and Grandpas when we go to visit. He gave a great farewell talk, he even got very emotional when talking about his family after, it was so nice to see that sensitive side of Gabster...I don't think Ive ever seen him cry before. When talking about Ian he said he is the best brother he could ever have asked for and the best example, we all are lucky to have Ian in our lives. Ian cares about and loves Gabe so very much, we all do!

A picture of all the family that was there this weekend (we are missing Ariel and her family in this picture).

On our way home we had to make a quick stop at Dixie rock, one of Brody's favorite places.

Such a quick trip but lots of fun, any trip to St George is always a good one.
