Spider-Man Bday!

Party Time
Saturday
October 5th, 2014

Bro's Birthday fell on a Wednesday this year, which was lucky for him because he got two parties!! One with us Wednesday and one with some of his friends Saturday. At first I felt bad making him wait till Saturday for his cake and most of his presents, but really having a midweek Birthday as a kid turns out to be the best!!

He decided on a Spider-man Theme, so I went to work. Between pinterest and my own somewhat creativity this is what I came up with. Ian and I did most of it the night before, it was so fun seeing the kids reactions when they woke up and saw it. Kinsley kept pointing at the balloons saying "wow".

I have to admit, this was not my very best cake...but it turned out pretty ok.

Ian hanging up a big spider web. Spider-man turned out to be a super fun theme to decorate for!!

We started the party off with an obstacle course, the kids loved it!!! If they touched the "web" 3 times the spider would get them and they had to start over. Ian was nice enough to set the whole thing up before the party while I was making the cake...it turned out great.

It was fun watching these kids try to make their way through it. Thank goodness we planted grass!!

We had a tunnel at the end, Bro Bro made it!

Next we did Pin the spider on the web, also super fun! Everyone wanted to do it multiple times.

They were all actually really good at it, it must have been at the perfect height or something because only a few didn't get it right in the middle. Or their just that good!

The girls at the party thought Kinsley was so fun and cute. They were really sweet with her and helped her have a turn.

So cute!

Pinata time!! I would say this was the highlight of the party, these kids sure got excited about it! We must have got really heavy candy or something because the second person to take a whack at it broke the part the rope hocks to. It was a little set back but we managed to wrap the rope around the whole thing, which made it a little harder to break but it worked.

Bro seriously loves pinata's!

Adara having fun! Kinsley sure loves Adara.

Even Kinsley got a turn. She refused to hold the bat the right way...if you know Kins this shouldn't be a surprise, she is a feisty bossy stubborn little girl. Her way is the only way!

Even with her attitude she is still freaking cute, or maybe it's her attitude that makes her so cute!

The kids weren't breaking it, so after a while Ian took over....then the candy started flying and the real fun began!

We might have overdone it on the candy haha, each kid went home with a bag full.

Cake time!! Another highlight for the kids!

I wasn't able to get all the kids together for a picture, but here's most of them...aren't they cute! So glad Brody has good friends.

Brody being silly.

Eating cake and ice cream. Thank goodness it was a nice day out!

Brody saw these party poppers one day and really wanted them. They were a hit!! We should have bought 5 bags of them!

Present time, of course Brody liked this part :) He had been waiting since Wednesday to open some of his presents, I was quiet impressed how well he waited.

Bro loved his scooter!! He actually picked it out but had to wait for it, so it was still exciting.

We bought Bro this big rocket launcher thing, all the kids loved it! They took it outside and had a blast.

Our cute little family...hard to believe Bro is already 6. We are all so lucky to have him in our lives!!

Watching the rocket launch, apparently I thought they were all more cute then the rocket :)

Kinsley loved the left overs from the party poppers, what a cutie pie!

Such a fun day and such a fun party!!!
