Baking Fun

Baking fun
Monday
February 3rd, 2014

Bro Bro loves to help me in the kitchen, so we decided to make some cookies for FHE tonight. We searched online for idea's and decided on snickerdoodle's. I just love having little helpers!

Kinsley: "Oh don't mind me, I'm just going to nibble of this butter you left out to soften."

Ready to start!

He isn't a fan of mixing things, but gave it a try this time!

Kins and Dad watching the cookie making fun.

Adding LOTS of sugar, not wonder they are so good :/

The funny thing about Bro is he LOVES helping me bake, but hardly ever eats the finished product. He is not a cookie kind of guy. The only cookies he will devour are my chocolate crackle ones.

I sure love moments like this with my little man cub :) Fun night in the kitchen that was finished off with a game of battle ship, which Brody and I won! Monday nights are our one and only guaranteed night together as a family, we love taking advantage of our time together.

Super Bowl

Super Bowl!!
Sunday
February 2nd, 2014

I have never really been a big football fan, but I have to admit it was fun to have our  Seattle Sea Hawks play! Here's Bro all ready to represent!

Showing off his black eye he got Friday night. We were at our friends for game night (there is literally nothing else to do around here so we always play games), all the kids were running around being crazy and him and his good friends Lilly bumped heads pretty hard. First black eye for this little guy.

I don't have a jersey to Kins so I did the best I could with getting the Sea Hawks colors on her. I don't think she was too happy about it?

We headed over to our friends house for the big game. We pigged out on yummy snacks, got lots of girl talk in, had kids running around having a blast, and enjoyed watching the game on a BIG screen tv with great friends...fun night!

Making Dough With the Princess

Making Dough With the Princess
Wednesday
January 22nd, 2014

Today I decided to make rolls for dinner, my moms super yummy recipe to be exact. I don't know how much Kinsley "helped" but she sure made it fun!

And I'd say she had lots of fun herself! She is just like her brother and LOVES dough.

Does it get any cuter then a baby helper in the kitchen!?

Talk about cuteness!!

New Bed for the Baby

New Bed for the Baby
Thursday
January 9th, 2014

We FINALLY got a crib for Miss Kins!!! I'm so excited about it!! We're probably the only parents who wait till their child is over one to get them in a crib. We didn't have in room in our last townhouse and then we moved here where there is nowhere to buy a crib. Ian had a doctors appointment in Albuquerque New Mexico so I took advantage of having a craigslist handy. We got this crib, mattress, bumper and blankets for $40!!! I'd say that's a steal. I hope to someday buy her some girly bedding but I am really happy with the crib.

She's not so sure about it...

Sweet dreams to this little princess :)

Visit from family

A Visit From Family
Sunday - Monday
November 10th-11th, 2013

Ian's family is big on long drives and short trips, something I am not so used to. His parents, brother and our two nephews made the drive from St George Sunday night to spend some time with us. The boys all had a great time being together, love seeing cousin fun!!

Brody got tired a lot earlier then the other boys, as you can see in this picture haha.

Monday we went to Window Rock and did a little hick with all the kids.

I don't know for sure but I think I'm safe in assuming the town was named after this rock.

Afterwards we went to the zoo...yes Window Rock actually has a zoo, crazy I know!!

Bro and Uncle Gabe checking out the bear.

This mountain lion was crazy, we all swore it was stalking the kids! It didn't even look at the adults, just walked back and forth with its eyes glued on the kids, thank goodness for that fence!

Saying goodbye to his twin cousins, Quinn and Tyson. They are only 11 days younger then Brody, makes me realize how tall my little man is!

Even though it was short, it was a fun visit!
